Our aim is, and has always been, to respect your privacy. Effective 25 May 2018, our aim is also to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). As we are based in Germany, please also refer to the legal framework for data protection here, in the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) in English and the Telemedia Act (TMG) in German only, sorry.
This statement explains Tracie Marquardt and Quality Assurance Communication’s policy regarding the personal data you may disclose to us, e.g. in the normal course of business, when contacting us through the contact form, requesting to download free stuff, or subscribing to our newsletter. Please note that subscribing to our newsletter is possible from many different pages on our website.
We do collect personal information from you in the normal course of business in accordance with the provisions of German data protection statutes mentioned above, e.g. name, address, email address, telephone number, etc. We may even have your birthday in our calendar depending on our relationship. Please be aware that data transfer via the internet is subject to security risks and, therefore, complete protection against third-party access to transferred data cannot be ensured.
What Personal Data We Collect and What We Do With It
Training Programs and Events
When you book training and attendance at events through our website, we will use the data you provide to:
- Deliver our contract to provide training to you;
- Contact you regarding any matter arising from your booking, attendance at our event or other legitimate business reason;
- Enable the event host to contact you if necessary.
We will not add you to our newsletter list without your ‘written’ consent, either electronically or in a paper-based format. You may do this yourself by opting in to receive our newsletter on our website or here, or by signing a consent form at a workshop or other event.
We do not disclose your booking/training data to any other parties without your written consent.
You can unsubscribe to our newsletter at any time. Simply click on the “Unsubscribe” link in one of our newsletters that we sent you or send an email to Info@QACommunication.com with “Unsubscribe” in the subject line. A third option would be to reply to any email from us, changing the subject line to “Unsubscribe”.
How Long We Keep Your Personal Data
By law, we must keep business information/records including contact details for a minimum of 10 years for tax purposes.
In the general course of conducting business, we will keep your basic personal data for longer where we feel it will speed up communication between us, so you do not have to give us the data again.
Subject to any legal requirement, we will delete your information where you tell us that you no longer wish to have any contact with Tracie Marquardt and Quality Assurance Communication.
For the purposes of our newsletter and emails, we will keep your information until you unsubscribe.
We do use third parties for data storage, our newsletter mailing list, and data analytics. Some of this data may be processed or stored outside the EU, e.g. in the US. According to their websites, the companies we contract with are, or will be, in compliance with the GDPR as of 25 May 2018. This includes special requirements for processing data outside the EU. We are not liable for the privacy practices of these sites but do monitor their privacy policies to ensure the policies state that the companies are in compliance with the GDPR.

Tracie Marquardt and Quality Assurance Communication have a large network of friends, acquaintances, business partners, vendors, clients, etc. On very rare occasions, we may accept personal contact details from within our network or share personal contact details with others within our network, for the sole purpose of connecting like-minded professionals who also want to bring positive change to their organizations and their lives, maybe even to the world. We will make an effort to contact you in advance of sharing your contact details in these rare instances. If we have not heard back from you but think our trusted contact really could help you, we may email you both via an introductory email.
